The Inaugural Threadify Design Talent Hunt Program ‘Weaving Journey SS 26/27’ Successfully Concludes

After months of development, Threadify's first Weaving Journey program; a market-oriented Designer talent hunt; has officially wrapped. The program was built around a single, grounding philosophy: that great design must be producible, wearable, and commercially viable — not just beautiful on paper. Participants designed within three high-frequency lifestyle scenarios, using weaving as their structural and material starting point and the market as the destination their designs needed to reach.

Evaluating Design Entries

On March 19th, Threadify's Design Director, Mr. Cai, joined two fellow designers to form the judging panel to select one first-place winner, two second-place winners, three third-place winners, and five star-selected outstanding entries.

From Sketch to Sample Development

What sets Weaving Journey apart is what happened after the judging. Prize-winning designers weren't just handed a trophy — they were brought into Threadify's offline base to see their work come to life.

Fabric & accessories selection

Under one-on-one guidance from professional designers, winners personally selected fabrics and accessories from Threadify's supermarket at Threadify Fashion Complex in Keqiao that matched their design intentions.

Process sheet refinement

Inspiration was refined into an executable process sheet — bridging the gap between creative concept and production reality.

Pattern making & sampling

Selected fabrics moved directly to the central pattern room. Experienced pattern makers created patterns and produced sample garments, with the entire process tracked end-to-end.

Award ceremony: A moment worth celebrating

On May 9th, the inaugural Weaving Journey Award Ceremony was held at the Threadify Keqiao Base. Young designers in attendance received their award in person. It was a moment that marked not just the end of a competition, but the beginning of something new — the realization of real creative ambition.
